Rosenstiel’s is delighted to sponsor “The Felix Rosenstiel’s
Widow & Son Introductory Novice Hurdle Race” at Ascot on
Friday 17 November. Covering about two miles, the race is
third on the card at 2:05pm.
A framed
Susan Crawford limited edition will be presented to the
winning owner, trainer and jockey of the sponsored race on
Friday 17 November.
Susan Crawford’s
Legend (Best Mate)
will also feature in the day's race card and, although
Rosenstiel’s is a supplier to the trade, to mark the
occasion of the sponsorship, each of the four
Susan Crawford limited editions on this page is available to
the general public for one week only. This price
includes all taxes and shipping anywhere in the world. Each
limited edition is signed by the artist and published to the
very highest quality. They are also available unmounted and unframed.
Rosenstiel’s is proud of its long association with the
equestrian world. The company has had horses in
training since 1990, when Mr Felix, named after the
company’s founder, was purchased to be trained by Bob
Champion. Since 1990,
racing has brought the company success and publicity with
157 runners and an impressive strike record of 22 victories
and a further 71 places. The most significant victory was
that of Mr Percy, who won the Murphy’s at Cheltenham and
subsequently ran in the Champion Hurdle, finishing only 12
lengths behind perhaps the greatest hurdler of all time, Istabraq. Mr Markham has also been good enough to run in
the Champion Hurdle, featuring ninth. Both these horses
have won at Cheltenham, Ascot and numerous other tracks.
In the
year 2000 Rosenstiel’s was sixth in The Racing Post table of
top jumps owners in Britain, which was an impressive feat,
with such a small number of horses. All Rosenstiel’s runners wear a company rug in
the parade ring, with the company logo embroidered in large
lettering. In addition, the stable lad or lass wears a
jacket emblazoned with our name and logo, and also a branded
cap.
Rosenstiel’s currently has only two horses in training,
Senor Sedona and Mr Nick, both with Nick Gifford, son of the
legendary Josh Gifford MBE. Rosenstiel’s is pleased also to
sponsor a number of other horses in the Gifford yard.
Rosenstiel’s has a proud history of publishing equestrian
artwork over the 126 years since the company’s foundation in
1880. Our remarkable “stable” of artists includes Sir
Alfred Munnings, Cecil Aldin, Lionel Edwards, Snaffles and,
in the present day, Peter Curling, Graham Isom, Andre Pater,
Charles Church, Jay Boyd Kirkman and Susan Crawford.
