The remarkable work of Thierry Poncelet has been a feature of the Rosenstiel’s collection for many years and we are now delighted to introduce five new additions to the Poncelet range, for the summer of 2006.

What many people don’t know about Thierry’s paintings is that, in fact, most of them are real. The artist finds portraits with poses which interest him, considers what sort of dog would look best in the costumes and settings provided, and then paints the appropriate dog head over the existing portrait.

Let’s hope it’s not one of your ancestors under there!
